Antica Strada Regina – Way 1

from Rezzonico to Menaggio:

From the “aristocratic” town of Rezzonico an easy warm up walk takes you along the lake shore, tracing an important route used till the end of the 18th century as a commercial route.
The “Antica Strada Regina” goes along the lake at an average height of 300 m; and was originally an ancient roman road which linked the Po valley with the countries north of the Alps.
The trail reaches Menaggio passing splendid panoramic points with fine views of the lake. You will discover wonderful hamlets which maintain the local architectural style.
