Brunate – Molina
This walk runs along the first part of the so called “Triangolo Lariano”, which is a triangular-shaped area between the two branches of Lake Como. The triangle’s corners are Como, Lecco and Bellagio.
The walk starts in Brunate – a small village clinging to the mountain which overlooks Como. From here you will walk along the edge of the mountain chain which separates Lake Como and Po valley. The walk is not too steep, except for the short ascent to Monte Boletto (1236 m), the highest point of the walk. From here you will have a breathtaking view over the lake and the “Pianura Padana” (Po plain). From the ridge you will descend to the village of Molino passing through beech forests and typical hamlets. Walk ends in the square in Molina a beautiful typical village.
